If you've decided to replace your windows with Pella replacement windows and have chosen MatCor as your contractor, congratulations on taking a big step towards improving your home's energy efficiency, comfort, and curb appeal. As a Pella Certified Contractor, our team is trained to use Pella’s superior window installation methods and is committed to respecting your home and family during the process. Here’s a quick guide on how to prepare and what to expect on installation day:

Preparing Your Home for Installation Day

Before installation day, you'll need to take a few steps to prepare your home:

  • Remove curtains, blinds, or other window treatments from the windows being replaced
  • Move furniture or belongings away from the windows to create more space
  • If you have pets, make arrangements to keep them in a safe area away from the installation site. Your family’s safety is very important to us.
  • If you have an alarm system on your windows, be sure to deactivate it.

Installation Day Process

Our team will arrive at your home at the agreed upon time on installation day. We will begin by reviewing the project with you, explain any details that may affect the installation, and answer any questions you may have. We will also discuss an estimated timeline for the installation process, which can vary depending on the number of windows being installed and the project's complexity.

Next, our installation team will prepare the work area by covering your floors and belongings with drop cloths to protect them from debris and dust. We will then begin removing your old windows, being careful not to damage the surrounding wall. Our team will take care to dispose of the old windows and any debris responsibly, leaving your home clean and tidy.

Once the old windows are removed and the openings properly prepped, our team will install your new Pella Windows. We will ensure that each window is appropriately aligned and sealed per Pella’s superior standards. The finishing touches of trim and window hardware will be added to complete the installation.

After the installation, our team will test each window to ensure they operate smoothly and will thoroughly clean up the job site. We will review the completed project with you, answer any additional questions you may have and provide you with care and maintenance instructions for your new Pella windows.

Once our installation team is gone, it’s time to sit back, relax and enjoy the benefits and beauty of your new Pella windows. And as always, complete customer satisfaction is the MatCor mission; our team is always available to assist you and address any questions or problems that arise. As the areas only Certified Pella Contractor, we are committed to quality customer care and to helping you find the right windows for your Alaskan home.
